Rochester - Riverside School Site

DJ Civils were contracted to deliver groundworks and external works for a new primary school at Countryside’s Rochester Riverside development.

The scope included delivery of external school facilities, balcony finishes, the main entrance ramp, estate roads, and car parking.

Our team also installed new drainage systems, including surface water connections into a live outfall terminating at the River Medway, and a live foul water connection into the development’s existing mains system.

Works were carried out under strict constraints, with the site located adjacent to Network Rail infrastructure at Rochester train station and in close proximity to a preserved Roman wall.

Scope:

Deep drainage – including live connections
Entrance ramp, staircase and balcony raised paving.
MUGA and general playground surfaces.
Soft & hard landscaping including external artwork.
Highway and footway construction to KCC / MDC standards.
Protection of a roman wall and Network Rail Asset.
