Equality & Diversity Policy

It is the policy of DJ Civils Ltd to ensure that all groups within the community have an equal share of Company’s employment opportunities, regardless of sex, colour, marital status, race, nationality or ethnic or national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability or membership or non-membership of a Trade Union.

 

Objectives:

To meet the requirements of this Policy DJ Civils Ltd have set the following objectives:

 

  • Actively pursue a programme to assist all groups of people to compete fairly for the opportunitiesthat exist in employment, training, and promotion.

  • Comply with the terms and requirements of the Equalities Act 2010

 

To meet these objectives and to ensure compliance with the Policies, DJ Civils will maintain a documented system including:

  • Grievance and disciplinary procedures

  • Training procedures

  • The maintenance of personal records

  • Encourage Managers and Supervisors to take appropriate actions in eliminating any sexual or racial

harassment at work. This includes physical & verbal abuse and persistent unwanted sexual advances.

  • Take disciplinary action, where appropriate, against anyonecontravening this procedure.

  • Instruct staff to ensure that these Policies are carried out fairly and consistently.

  • Make employees aware that they can report directly to any Director any complaint or grievance under thisPolicy.

  • Make employees aware that they have the right to discuss their own personal record file.

  • Monitor recruitment, training, and promotion on a regular basis.

  • Examine all workplaces to ensure no racist materials are in evidence and to see how they can be improved to accommodate female and disabled employees.

  • Ensure that advertisements for positions placed by DJ Civils will state that DJ Civils is an Equal Opportunities Employer and encourage members of minority groups to apply.

 

Arrangements – Employees and workers

Employees and workers must not engage in any sexual or racial harassment at work. This includes physical and verbal abuse and persistent unwanted sexual advances.

 

Arrangements – Sub Contractors

DJ Civils Sub Contractor Policy 

 The Sub Contractor will agree to provide their services in a professional andworkmanlike manner.

 

DJ Civils Contractor objectives 

 The Sub Contractor will agree to comply with all reasonable requirementsand specifications and current legislation.

 

The Sub Contractor must not engage in any sexual or racial harassment whilst proving their services. This includes physical and verbal abuse and persistent unwanted sexual advances.

To meet the Sub Contractor Policy and Objectives the Sub Contractor will undertake works in accordance with any current legislation, requirements laid down within the agreed contract and any associated documentation. This will include any client specific requirements.

 

DJ Civils will monitor the Sub Contractor’s performance and take any action deemed necessary if a Sub Contractor isfound to be non-compliant with this Policy. Any Sub Contractor contravening this policy may have their contract terminated.

 

This Policy is current from the date indicated. The Policy is reviewed on a regular basis, and at a minimum annually. Records of such reviews shall be maintained at DJ Civils Head Office.
